has been fabulous for the band as they worked and the band show promises to make for another successful season!

Pop and Water Donations:

Donations are being accepted now for the 08/09 point year.

When you bring in pop or water donations, make sure that it gets checked in with a Booster officer. The Band
Directors are not responsible for managing this so to receive proper point credit, the Booster officers must be
informed of your donation.

Rules: We will accept pop/water donations on an ongoing basis.

1). Coke products only. This means Dasani water only.

2). Maximum three 12 packs per student, annually. 1 point each.

3). 2 points per 24, 0.5 liter bottle case of Dasani water.  Maximum 2 cases annually per student.

4). Write name clearly on all cases.



Fundraiser and Deposit Procedures:

1). Please remember, as stated in the Band Handbook, “…All money and forms of any kind must be turned in
personally by the student or parent directly to Mr. Peplowski or Mr. Lucente. Please do not place payments in the
office mailbox.…” The Directors and Boosters cannot guarantee security of fundraiser monies or order forms if they
are placed in main office mailboxes.



2). When submitting monies for fundraisers, combine the money you collect and deposit it into your personal checking
account.  Then, write one check from your checking account to the Ursuline Band Boosters to cover those monies.  
This policy was enacted last year in an effort to simplify bookkeeping and enhance security.



3). In the event a discrepancy exists with a deposit it will be necessary to produce a cancelled check or a receipt to
earn credit to your account.



Booster Point System:

Parents who volunteer their time or treasure for band activities can earn points that translate into discounts for band
related costs. A system exists for awarding points for the various chaperone duties, donations, and band related
activities throughout the year.  More information is available through the Booster officers. Basically, each time a
parent volunteers and accepts a duty, donates to band activities, etc, they earn points toward the discount.

Vitullo know by sending it to her at doravito@yahoo.com.  Please include your name and your child's name.



Spaghetti Dinner:

The date for the spaghetti dinner is tentatively, Sunday October 19, 2008.  This is the only mandatory fundraiser for
each band family. Families are expected to work the dinner and sell a minimum of $70.00 worth of tickets (10 adult
tickets). More information will be forthcoming.



Child Protection Inservice:

Any volunteer who wishes to participate in band related activities as a chaperone, etc. must be fingerprinted and
attend the Diocese sanctioned Child Protection In-service.  Fingerprinting can be done at the Diocese office or other
police agency such as the Mahoning County Sheriff, etc. The next in service is Tuesday, August 12 at Ursuline from 5-
7 pm in the auditorium.



September Booster Meeting:

The next Booster meeting will be held on Monday, September 8 at 7:00 PM in the UHS band room
